Programmes Overview
Three programmes, each designed to address a different stage and starting point.
Each programme has a clear audience, a defined duration, and a structure built around supervised practice and written feedback. The descriptions below cover what each programme contains and what a learner is expected to arrive with.
Back to HomeOur Methodology
Practice-led, feedback-centred, duration-bounded.
All three programmes follow the same underlying structure: a defined weekly rhythm of exercise submission, written feedback, and a preparation step for the following week's work. The content varies; the structure does not.
This approach prioritises revision and reflection over volume. Learners submit work, receive detailed written responses, and then produce further work in light of that feedback. The learning happens in this cycle, not in passive consumption of material.
Preliminary conversation and background assessment
We confirm that the programme is appropriate for your background before a place is offered.
Reading and preparation
A tailored reading plan and preparatory exercises are provided before the first session.
Weekly supervised exercises with written feedback
Each week's exercise is submitted, assessed, and returned with specific written feedback within four working days.
Concluding project or final assessment
Each programme ends with a documented concluding piece of work that draws on the full duration of the programme.
Programme 01
Programme in AI Engineering Practice
A programme addressed to learners preparing to work on AI systems in practical settings. The engineering concerns that accompany the modelling work — data pipelines, careful evaluation, deployment considerations, and the documentation that supports collaborative practice — are the focus throughout.
The programme is suited to learners with working programming experience and some prior exposure to machine-learning concepts. Sessions are conducted across twelve weeks with weekly supervised exercises, mentor feedback, and a modest concluding project documented in writing.
What you will work with
Data pipeline construction and documentation practice
Evaluation design and honest reporting of model behaviour
Deployment considerations and operational concerns
Collaborative documentation standards and practices
Concluding written project reviewed by lead mentor

Programme 02
Short Course in Clear Technical Writing for AI Practitioners
A short course devoted to the practice of clear technical writing in the context of AI work — the preparation of model cards, experiment reports, and concise written communication with collaborators and stakeholders.
The course is built around a small number of worked examples and several rounds of supervised writing practice, with careful written feedback after each submission. The course is delivered across six weeks and is suited to learners already doing some applied work.
What you will work with
Model card preparation from worked examples
Experiment report structure and clarity
Written communication with non-technical stakeholders
Multiple submission rounds with written feedback
Revision practice as a core part of the process
Programme 03
Mentored Transition Programme into Applied AI Work
A mentored transition programme for learners moving into applied AI work from an adjacent field — software development, data analysis, academic research, or related disciplines.
The programme is built around structured weekly conversations, a tailored reading plan, and supervised practical exercises chosen for their relevance to the learner's background. The mentor works with the learner at an honest pace that respects the time genuine learning requires, and the programme continues for sixteen weeks.
What you will work with
Structured weekly mentor conversations
Tailored reading plan built around your existing background
Practical exercises selected for direct relevance to your field
Honest pacing adjusted to the learner's situation
Sixteen-week programme with defined milestones
Duration
16 weeks
Format
Online, weekly mentor call
